About This Course

Around 555,000 workplace injuries happen every year in UK workplaces. Therefore, workplaces must have First Aiders in place to deal with potentially life-threatening situations.

This course will give you a solid understanding of:

Accurate record keeping, how to prevent cross-infection, understand their role and how to act quickly, safely and effectively
How to administer first aid to those who are; unconscious, choking, burned, wounded, bleeding or someone suffering from shock
How to administer first aid for minor injuries
How to administer CPR and how to use an AED
How to administer first aid to a person with: injuries to bones, muscles, chest injuries, eye injuries, poisoning and anaphylaxis
Be able to recognise signs of heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizures and asthma attacks

By the end of this course, attendees should know and understand the following:

Refresh your knowledge about what is included in the primary survey
Refresh your knowledge about what is included in the secondary survey
Refresh your knowledge on first aid treatment and first aid procedures
