About This Course
Around 555,000 workplace injuries happen every year in UK workplaces. Therefore, workplaces must have First Aiders in place to deal with potentially life-threatening situations.
This course will give you a solid understanding of:
- Accurate record keeping, how to prevent cross-infection, understand their role and how to act quickly, safely and effectively
- How to administer first aid to those who are; unconscious, choking, burned, wounded, bleeding or someone suffering from shock
- How to administer first aid for minor injuries
- How to administer CPR and how to use an AED
- How to administer first aid to a person with: injuries to bones, muscles, chest injuries, eye injuries, poisoning and anaphylaxis
- Be able to recognise signs of heart attack, stroke, epileptic seizures and asthma attacks
By the end of this course, attendees should know and understand the following:
- Refresh your knowledge about what is included in the primary survey
- Refresh your knowledge about what is included in the secondary survey
- Refresh your knowledge on first aid treatment and first aid procedures
