New Health & Safety Emergency First Aid Guidance
Qualsafe have recently released new guidance for Emergency First Aiders.
The latest adaptations have been implemented to help keep First Aiders safe whilst administering CPR during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Remember the 3 ps – preserve life, prevent worsening, promote recovery but do so where possible at a safe distance and minimise the time you spend breathing in the same proximity as the casualty.
When delivering CPR use chest compressions and use a defibrillator (if possible) – do not do rescue breaths.
