• AW Safety to act as ‘Competent Person’ in relation to Health & Safety
• Supply of an Appointment Letter to confirm competent H&S support
• Supply of a Health & Safety Policy

• Access to Health & Safety documentation via dedicated webserver ‘IRM Connect’ – maximum of 10 user accounts as part of support contract. Additional user accounts will be charged at £15 per licence
• Update of relevant Health & Safety documentation following legislation changes, with alerts to nominated persons
• Annual review and update of supplied Health & Safety documentation
• Access to a range of Safety Notice Board posters via IRM Connect
• Access to industry specific Safety Bulletins on IRM Connect
• Access to AW Safety newsletters via IRM Connect
• Support with accidents / incidents is given via email or over the telephone. Where site visits, interviews, meetings etc. are required additional fees may be charged
• Liaison, via telephone, with Health and Safety Executive Inspectors, Environmental Health Officers, Fire and Rescue Service Officers, insurance companies etc. where required
• Assistance with the completion of contractor survey.

Unlimited telephone and email support Monday to Thursday 9am/5pm Friday 9am/2pm.

Do I need a “competent person”?

The simple answer is yes If you have 5 or more employees. This includes directors and those on part time contracts.

 

What is a Health & Safety Competent Person?

This is someone who is sufficiently qualified in the role who can support you with compliance requirements.

 

What areas do you cover?

We cover the entire UK with branches situated in Edwinstowe (Midlands) and Brampton (North)

 

How much do your services cost?

Our name only packages start from just £50pcm. Our services come at a vastly reduced rate to a full-time Health & Safety resource. Use our quote builder to gain a clearer picture of your costs. Can I call you with health and safety questions?

On sign up you will be provided with the contact details for your dedicated consultants (no call centres round here). We are available to be contacted during normal working hours.

 

Do you supply Health & Safety documentation?

Depending on your package, yes we can supply a range of tailored documentation to suit your business requirements. This is provided through our dedicated Health & Safety Portal (IRM Connect) available to demo here.

 

How much involvement do you need from me as an employer?

Initially we will need some of your time to learn about your business and no one knows this better than you. Depending on which service level you move forward with, will determine how much of your time we will need from you, and to what capacity we will be supporting you with health & safety requirements.

 

Do you have experience in my sector?

With over x clients spread across the UK we have experience across many sectors from money services and construction to nuclear and agriculture projects we’ve seen and dealt with it all.

 

Do you offer training?

Yes, we offer a range of health and safety training courses which are available face to face, on-site and at our facilities. We cover anything from First Aid at Work and IOSH Managing Safely to Toolbox Talks specific to your workforce. On top of this we also offer health and safety e-learning courses.

 

Do you come to our site?

As your competent person for Health & Safety we can come out to your site for inspections, audits and documentation completion. Again, this will depend on the service level you require, whether this be 1 visit annually or 2 visits a month for more high-risk environments.

 

Will I be tied to a long-term contract?

Unlike other providers, we offer flexible contract solutions. Our minimum partnership for our Competent Person services is 12 months. This can be paid as monthly direct debit, invoiced or paid annually.
